Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish model and actress. Alison Doody first made a film debut as the Bond girl on the set of A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donevan is in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) are other roles. Approached by a photographer Doody took up modelling and subsequently an industry-related career in modelling. Doody did not like glamour or nude work, a rule that was carried into her acting. After getting noticed by the casting directors of a James Bond new film, Doody took a small part of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody's name was featured as a part of John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 of the most promising young actors in 1986. 38. Doody aged 18 as she played the character of Doody in Bond, was and is still the most youthful Bond gal until today. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) with Mickey Rourke, also featured a smaller role as IRA Siobhan. Doody was seen as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody played Sapsorrow along with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. Her first appearance was in the movie Taffin opposite Pierce Brosnan. Next, she played the role of Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist and Nazi-sympathizer opposite Harrison Ford. Doody has worked with three James Bond actors. Doody played the role in the British mini-series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The show was inspired by The Hitler Diaries publication scam. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. The actress later became Flannery the agent of Charlie Sheen, as well as girlfriend on the set of Major League II. She had been chosen as the replacement for Cybill Shepherd who was L'Oreal's first spokeswoman. Doody who was off acting for more than 10 years, returned in 2003 to take on a tiny part of the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine played her in a scene at the ceremony for awards. In 2004, she appeared alongside Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She played a role as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 pamphlet on the Holocaust. Doody made an appearance as a character in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Doody was later a guest on the medical drama of RTE The Clinic and was set to be the lead actress in a remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx but the project was later put on hold. The year 2011 saw her debut on the first season of two on the E4 comedy show Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she starred as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. In November 2018 she was awarded the Almeria tierra de Cine Award and was awarded a Star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
